Civilian Basic Survival Course

The Civilian Survival course is an in-depth training program designed to teach participants all aspects of wilderness survival and how to apply these principles in an urban survival situation. The course covers a wide range of skills, including fire building, shelter making, water purification, trapping animals for food, wild game preparation and cooking, field emergency medical treatment, medicinal plants, and edible wild plants as a food source.

The course is divided into several modules, each of which focuses on a specific aspect of survival. In the fire building module, participants learn how to start a fire using natural materials, such as dry grass, sticks, and rocks. They also learn how to keep a fire going and how to safely extinguish a fire.

The shelter making module teaches participants how to build different types of shelters, such as lean-tos, debris huts, and tarp shelters. Participants learn how to select a suitable location for a shelter, how to collect and prepare materials, and how to construct a shelter that will protect them from the elements.

The water purification module teaches participants how to collect and purify water from natural sources, such as streams and rivers. Participants learn how to filter water using natural materials, such as sand and charcoal, and how to disinfect water using chemical methods, such as boiling or using water purification tablets.

In the trapping module, participants learn how to construct and set various types of traps to catch small game, such as rabbits and squirrels, for food. They also learn how to skin and prepare wild game for cooking.

The wild game preparation and cooking module teaches participants how to cook wild game using different methods, such as roasting, grilling, and boiling. Participants also learn how to identify edible plants and how to prepare them for consumption.

The field emergency medical treatment module teaches participants how to provide basic medical care in the field, such as how to stop bleeding, how to splint broken bones, and how to treat common injuries and illnesses.

In the medicinal plants module, participants learn how to identify common medicinal plants and how to use them to treat various ailments, such as headaches, fever, and digestive issues.

The course culminates in a two-night field experience where participants have the opportunity to put their skills to the test in a wilderness environment. Participants will be required to build their own shelter, start a fire, and forage for food and water. This exhilarating course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills they need to survive in any situation, whether in the wilderness or in an urban environment.
